Installation [03/2017 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL COLLAR
- INSTALL ACTIVE REAR WING
- INSPECT REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Check the difference in level (a) between the luggage compartment door panel and upper surface of the rear spoiler when the rear spoiler is retracted.

0 to -1.5 mm (0 to -0.059 in.)HINT:
- For the (a) dimension, (+) represents the condition that the rear spoiler is above the luggage compartment door panel level. (-) represents the condition that the rear spoiler is below the luggage compartment door panel level.
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- Check the difference in level (a) between the luggage compartment door panel and upper surface of the rear spoiler when the rear spoiler is retracted.
- ADJUST REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the other side.
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 "TORX" screws.
- Using a screwdriver, turn the 2 collars of the top cover lock control link sub-assembly LH to adjust the height.
*a Up *b Down - Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install 2 new "TORX" screws.
Torque: 5.1 N.m (52 kgf/cm, 45 in.lbf)
NOTE:Do not reuse the "TORX" screw that has been removed.
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 "TORX" screws.
- INSTALL REAR SPOILER NO. 2 SEAL
HINT:
When installing the rear spoiler No. 2 seal, heat the rear spoiler No. 2 seal and rear spoiler drain end cap LH using a heat light.

Part Temperature Rear Spoiler Drain End Cap LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) Rear Spoiler No. 2 Seal WARNING:- Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
- Touching the heat light may result in burns.
- Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.
*a Heated Part *b Heat Light NOTE:Do not heat the rear spoiler No. 2 seal and rear spoiler drain end cap LH excessively.
- When reusing the rear spoiler drain end cap LH:
- Using a heat light, heat the rear spoiler drain end cap LH surface.
- Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the rear spoiler drain end cap LH.
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.NOTE:
- Installing the rear spoiler No. 2 seal with some double-sided tape remaining may cause poor adhesion. Perform this procedure until the tape is sufficiently removed.
- Make sure to use a cloth when removing. Using a screwdriver, etc., may cause damage and poor adhesion.
- Also, clean a new rear spoiler drain end cap LH surface.
- Using a heat light, heat the rear spoiler drain end cap LH and a new rear spoiler No. 2 seal.NOTE:
Do not heat the rear spoiler No. 2 seal and rear spoiler drain end cap LH excessively.
- Remove the release paper from the rear spoiler No. 2 seal.NOTE:
After removing the peeling paper, do not touch the surface of the tape with your fingers or cotton work gloves.
- Install the rear spoiler No. 2 seal in the position shown in the illustration.NOTE:
The application strength of the rear spoiler No. 2 seal will weaken if reapplied. If reapplication is necessary, be sure to replace it with a new one.
HINT:
Apply pressure so that it does not lift up from the rear spoiler drain end cap LH.
- INSTALL REAR SPOILER SEAL
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the rear spoiler No. 2 seal.
- INSTALL REAR SPOILER DRAIN END CAP LH
- Install the rear spoiler drain end cap LH with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 6.7 N.m (68 kgf/cm, 59 in.lbf)
- Install the rear spoiler drain end cap LH with the 3 nuts.
- INSTALL REAR SPOILER DRAIN END CAP RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
- CONNECT SLIDING ROOF DRAIN HOSE
- INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER
