Disassembly [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 "TORX" screws and rear spoiler sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE REAR SPOILER PROTECTOR LH 

    HINT: 

    When removing the rear spoiler protector LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear spoiler protector LH and rear spoiler sub-assembly using a heat light.

    Rear Spoiler Sub-assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the rear spoiler protector LH and rear spoiler sub-assembly excessively.

    1. Remove the rear spoiler protector LH.

  3. REMOVE REAR SPOILER PROTECTOR RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  4. REMOVE REAR SPOILER NO. 12 PROTECTOR LH 

    HINT: 

    When removing the rear spoiler No. 12 protector LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear spoiler No. 12 protector LH and rear spoiler sub-assembly using a heat light.

    1. Remove the rear spoiler No. 12 protector LH.

  5. REMOVE REAR SPOILER NO. 12 PROTECTOR RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE REAR SPOILER COVER LH 
    1. Detach the claws and remove the rear spoiler cover LH.

  7. REMOVE REAR SPOILER COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE REAR SPOILER COVER 

    HINT: 

    When removing the rear spoiler cover, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear spoiler cover and rear spoiler sub-assembly using a heat light.

    1. Remove the rear spoiler cover.

  9. REMOVE CONNECTOR WIRE 
    1. Detach the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the connector wire.
  10. REMOVE TOP COVER LOCK CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Detach the guide and remove the top cover lock control link sub-assembly LH.
  11. REMOVE TOP COVER LOCK CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE REAR SPOILER DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
    2. Detach the guide as shown in the illustration and remove the rear spoiler drive gear sub-assembly from the rear spoiler insert.
  13. REMOVE REAR SPOILER INSERT 
  14. REMOVE REAR SPOILER MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 screws and spindle assembly.

    2. Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 "TORX" screws and rear spoiler motor assembly from the rear spoiler motor bracket.
