Adjustment [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FITTING OF HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the clearance measurements of areas A to E are within the standard ranges.

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [05/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2023 - ]

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [05/2023 - ]

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    See step  5 [03/2017 - 05/2023], or refer to REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

  6. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Adjust the hood position.
      1. Loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the hood and adjust the hood position.

      2. Move the hood and adjust the clearance between the hood and front fender.
      3. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts on the hood after the adjustment.

        Torque: 13 N*m (133 kgf*cm, 9.6 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Adjust the height of the front end of the hood using the hood bumper cushions.

      1. Adjust the 2 cushion rubbers so that the hood and fender are aligned.

        HINT: 

        Raise or lower the front end of the hood by turning the 2 cushion rubbers.

    3. Adjust the hood lock.
      1. Loosen the 3 bolts.

      2. Adjust the hood lock position so that the striker can enter it smoothly.
      3. Tighten the 3 bolts after the adjustment.

        Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

  7. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    See step  4

  8. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [05/2023 - ]

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [05/2023 - ]

  10. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [05/2023 - ]
