Removal [05/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [05/2023 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [05/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [05/2023 - 09/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

  4. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - ]

  5. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR BRACKET BOLT 
    1. Remove the bolt and specer nut from the front frame crossmenber sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire.
    3. Remove the terminal cap.

      *1 Terminal Cap
      *2 Oil Cooler Tube
      *a Bolt
      *b Nut
    4. Detach the clamp.
    5. Remove the nut and disconnect the engine wire from terminal B.
    6. Disconnect the generator assembly connector.
    7. Remove the bolt and disconnect the oil cooler tube.
    8. Remove the bolt and oil cooler bracket.

    9. Remove the bolt A and engine wire bracket.

      *1 Engine Wire Bracket
    10. Remove the bolt B and 2 nuts.
    11. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and generator assembly.

    12. Remove the bolt and wire harness bracket from the generator assembly.
