Operation Check [11/2021 - ]

  1. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check speedometer operation
      NOTE:
      • The combination meter assembly receives the vehicle speed signal from the skid control ECU assembly via CAN communication. Therefore, perform the following inspection referring to values on the Data List of the skid control ECU assembly because it is the source of the vehicle speed signal.
      • Data List values of the skid control ECU assembly are used for this inspection. Therefore, make sure to perform this inspection after confirming that DTCs are not output.
      1. Warm up the engine.
      2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      3. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      4. Turn the Techstream on.
      5. Put the engine in inspection mode (maintenance mode).

        Refer to INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE [01/2017 - ]

      6. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.
      7. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

        Speedometer reading is within the acceptable range at each vehicle speed.

    2. Inspect tachometer
      1. Warm up the engine.
      2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      3. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      4. Turn the Techstream on.
      5. Put the engine in inspection mode (maintenance mode).

        Refer to INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE [01/2017 - ]

      6. for Hybrid Control: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List.
      7. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

    3. Check LED illumination (LED check)
      1. Check the illumination function of the warning or indicator lights listed below when turning the power switch on (IG).

  2. INSPECT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE WARNING 
    1. Using the Techstream, according to the display on the Techstream, enter "Inspection Mode".

      Refer to INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE [01/2017 - ]

    2. Disconnect the connector of the engine oil pressure switch assembly.
    3. Start the engine.
    4. Using SST, check the display of the combination meter assembly when connecting the vehicle wire harness side connector terminal of the engine oil pressure switch assembly to the body ground.
      • SST: 09843-18040 

      OK

      "Oil Pressure Low Stop in a Safe Place See Owner's Manual" is displayed on the multi-information display.

  3. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL WARNING 
    1. Using the Techstream, according to the display on the Techstream, enter "Inspection Mode".

      Refer to INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE [01/2017 - ]

    2. Start the engine.
    3. With the engine warmed up (coolant temperature 80°C or higher) and after 40 seconds or more have elapsed with the engine speed at 1200 rpm or less, check the multi-information display on the combination meter assembly with the engine oil level sensor connector disconnected.

      OK

      "Engine Oil Level Low Add or Replace" is displayed on the multi-information display.
