Installation [06/2018 - 08/2021]: Procedure

INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

Connect the 2 airbag connectors of the No. 3 instrument panel wire to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.

NOTE:

When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Be sure to only connect the connectors to each corresponding color.

Push in the 2 airbag connector locking buttons as shown in the illustration to install the 2 airbag connectors to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
Engage the clamp.

INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

Engage the 3 hooks.

Push in the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly to engage the 3 hooks.

Install the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly with the 2 screws.

CONNECT NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

Check that the engine switch (for Gasoline Model) or power switch (for HV Model) is off.

Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

WARNING:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the white housing lock is as shown in the illustration.

Connect the No. 3 instrument panel wire.

NOTE:

When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

HINT:

Be sure to connect the connector until it is locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).
When the connector is locked, the white housing lock will slide. Do not hold the white housing lock as it may result in an insecure connection.
