Installation [06/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

      Adhesive

      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344, Three Bond 1344 or equivalent

      *a Adhesive 1344
      *b Oil Inlet Port
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply adhesive to the oil inlet port of the engine oil pressure switch assembly.
      • Install the engine oil pressure switch assembly within 3 minutes of applying adhesive.
    2. Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, install the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

      Torque: 15 N.m (153 kgf/cm, 11 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not start the engine for at least 1 hour after installation.

    3. Connect the engine oil pressure switch assembly connector.
    4. Engage the clamp to connect the wire harness protector.
  2. ADD ENGINE OIL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [06/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [08/2021 - ]

  3. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [06/2018 - 07/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [07/2023 - ]

  4. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [06/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [08/2021 - ]

  5. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67
