Removal [08/2021 - 09/2022]: Procedure

Refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022]

1. Disconnect each connector from the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly and steering wheel assembly.
2. Using a 10 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the steering wheel assembly set bolt.

3. Put matchmarks on the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft.

4. Temporarily install the steering wheel assembly set bolt.
   NOTE:

   Do not overtighten the steering wheel assembly set bolt.

5. Using SST, separate the steering wheel assembly.
   • SST: 09950-50013 
     1. 09951-05010
     2. 09952-05010
     3. 09953-05020
     4. 09954-05031
     5. 09957-04010
   • SST: 09950-60010 
     1. 09951-00330
   NOTE:

   Apply a small amount of grease to the threads and tip of SST (09953-05020) before use.

6. Remove the steering wheel assembly set bolt and steering wheel assembly.

1. Remove the 2 screws and disengage the pin to remove the No. 1 steering wheel ornament.
