Monitor Description

C0520 (Case 3): 

  1. The acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) detects a malfunction in an internal sensor (longitudinal G sensor or lateral G sensor) during self-diagnosis. When an abnormal acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) data value is received via CAN communication, the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) judges that the acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is malfunctioning and illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.
