The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during transaxle case oil seal and front drive shaft oil seal RH removal/installation are shown below.

Replacement of automatic transaxle assembly Perform the following procedures in the order shown:
  1. Input transaxle compensation code into ECM
  2. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
  • Large shift shock
  • Deterioration of fuel efficiency
for Initialization:
Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - 08/2019]
for Registration:
Refer to REGISTRATION [09/2015 - ]
Replacement of ECM
(If possible, read the transaxle compensation code from the previous ECM)
Perform the following procedures in the order shown:
  1. Transfer transaxle compensation code
  2. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
Replacement of ECM
(If impossible, read the transaxle compensation code from the previous ECM)
Perform the following procedures in the order shown:
  1. Reset transaxle compensation code
  2. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
Front wheel alignment adjustment
  1. Clear zero point calibration data and system information.
  2. Perform yaw rate and acceleration sensor zero point calibration and store system information.
  • VSC disabled or malfunctions
  • DTCs are stored
  • Slip indicator light illuminates
  • ABS warning light illuminates
Refer to CALIBRATION [09/2015 - 08/2019]
Suspension, tires, etc.
(The vehicle height changes because of suspension or tire replacement)
  • Ultrasonic sensor detection angle
  • Ultrasonic sensor detection angle registration
  • Intelligent clearance sonar system
  • Intuitive parking assist system (w/ Intelligent Clearance Sonar System)

Rear television camera assembly optical axis (Back camera position setting) Parking assist monitor system for Initialization:

  • Parking assist ECU initialization

Initialize headlight ECU sub-assembly LH
  • Automatic headlight beam level control system

Replacement of throttle body with motor assembly Inspection After Repair
  • Poor idle, etc.
  • Engine start function, etc.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - 08/2019]
Cleaning the deposits from the throttle body with motor assembly
Air leaks from intake system is repaired
Gas leak from exhaust system is repaired
Replacement of ECM Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) registration MIL comes on Refer to REGISTRATION [09/2015 - ]
ECU communication ID registration (Immobilizer system) Engine start function Refer to REGISTRATION [09/2015 - 08/2019]
Perform code registration (Immobilizer system)
  • Wireless door lock control system
  • Smart access system with push-button start
  • Engine start function
  • Steering lock system
  • Telematics system

WARNING:

The automatic transaxle assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair manual, or the transmission jack may suddenly drop.
