DTC B1507: Open in Turn Signal Circuit [11/2017 - 03/2019]: Procedure

  1. CHECK LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light LH does not blink A
      Rear turn signal light LH does not blink B
      Front turn signal light RH does not blink C
      Rear turn signal light RH does not blink D

    Result: 

    B

  2. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the D4 clearance light assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D4-1 (B) - O4-13 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω
      D4-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK LH SIDE LIGHTS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Interchange the clearance light assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - 03/2019]

    2. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE CLEARANCE LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - 03/2019] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A30 headlight assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A30-6 (B) - O4-13 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A30-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. CHECK LH SIDE LIGHTS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Interchange the headlight assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - 03/2019]

    2. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT CORD LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [09/2014 - 03/2019] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the U41 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U41-4 (TRN) - O4-9 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      U41-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  8. CHECK LH SIDE LIGHTS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Interchange the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2014 - 03/2019]

    2. Check that the rear turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Rear turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [09/2014 - 03/2019] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] 

  9. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

      Result

    2. Disconnect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      D2-1 (B) - O4-7 (LR) Always Below 1 Ω
      D2-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  11. CHECK RH SIDE LIGHTS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Interchange the clearance light assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - 03/2019]

    2. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to

    Result:

    REPLACE CLEARANCE LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - 03/2019]

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] 

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A1 headlight assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A1-6 (B) - O4-7 (LR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A1-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  13. CHECK RH SIDE LIGHTS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Interchange the headlight assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - 03/2019]

    2. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT CORD RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [09/2014 - 03/2019] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] 

  14. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the U5 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the O4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U5-4 (TRN) - O4-1 (TRNR) Always Below 1 Ω
      U5-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  15. CHECK RH SIDE LIGHTS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Interchange the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2014 - 03/2019]

    2. Check that the rear turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Rear turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [09/2014 - 03/2019]
