Switch Lights of Remote Touch do not Illuminate [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ILLUMINATION SIGNAL) 
    1. Disconnect the O76 remote operation controller assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O76-1 (ILL+) - Body ground Light control switch in tail or head position 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REMOTE OPERATION CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the O76 remote operation controller assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the O3 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O76-8 (ILL-) - O3-39 (ILL-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O76-8 (ILL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. REPLACE REMOTE OPERATION CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the remote operation controller assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]

    2. Check if the switch illumination turns on.

      OK

      The switch illumination turns on when the light control switch is in the tail or head position.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    END 

    Result: 

    NG
