Reassembly [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      *a Bolt A *b Bolt B
      *c Nut - -

      Bolt(A) 

      Torque: 135 N.m (1377 kgf/cm, 100 ft.lbf) 

      Bolt(B) 

      Torque: 9.5 N.m (97 kgf/cm, 84 in.lbf) 

      Nut 

      Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
  3. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH 
  5. INSTALL FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD RH 
  6. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 

    Torque: 18 N.m (184 kgf/cm, 13 ft.lbf) 

  7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Torque: 35 N.m (357 kgf/cm, 26 ft.lbf) 

  8. INSTALL VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER LOWER ABSORBER 
  10. INSTALL FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE LH 
  11. INSTALL FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH 
  12. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
  13. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH 

    Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

  14. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
  15. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE LOWER SIDE LH 
  16. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE LOWER SIDE RH 
  17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER GUARD 
  18. INSTALL RADIATOR SIDE AIR SEAL LH (w/ Radiator Side Air Seal) 
  19. INSTALL RADIATOR SIDE AIR SEAL RH (w/ Radiator Side Air Seal) 
  20. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL 
  21. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH 
  22. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH 
  23. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE 
  24. INSTALL FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER 
  25. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM 
  26. INSTALL RADIATOR INNER GRILLE 
  27. INSTALL HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL 
  28. INSTALL NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE

      Cleaning Area - -
      1. Clean the front bumper cover surface.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the double-sided tape remaining on the front bumper cover and 2 No. 1 moulding tapes.

        HEATING TEMPERATURE

        Area Temperature Area Temperature
        Front Bumper Cover 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F) No. 1 Moulding Tape 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F)
        WARNING:
        • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
        • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

        NOTE:

        Do not heat the front bumper cover excessively.

        2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

        3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      *a Scribed Line - -
      1. Install 2 new No. 1 moulding tapes.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

        2. Remove the release paper from the front 2 No. 1 moulding tapes.

        HINT: 

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        3. Install the 2 No. 1 moulding tapes as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        • Apply the No. 1 moulding tape along the scribed line on the front bumper cover.
        • Press the No. 1 moulding tape firmly to install it.
  29. INSTALL FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET LH 
  30. INSTALL FOG LIGHT MOUNTING BRACKET RH 
  31. INSTALL FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
  32. INSTALL FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
  33. INSTALL CORNERING LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Cornering Light) 
  34. INSTALL CORNERING LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Cornering Light) 
  35. INSTALL FRONT ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP

      Cleaning Area Primer
      1. Clean the front bumper cover surface.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the double-sided tape remaining on the front bumper cover and 3 front ultrasonic sensor clips.

        HEATING TEMPERATURE

        WARNING:

        NOTE:

        Do not heat the front bumper cover excessively.

        2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

        3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      2. Apply primer to front bumper cover on the installation area of the 3 front ultrasonic sensor clips.

        1. Using a brush or felt, apply primer or equivalent to the 3 front ultrasonic sensor clips installation area.

        NOTE:
        • Replace the brush or felt if it is dirty or has become hardened.
        • Do not apply primer to the painted side.
        • Do not touch the back door outside garnish until the primer has dried.

        2. Let the primer dry sufficiently.

        NOTE:

        Do not touch applied surfaces until the primer is dry.

        Recommended drying time

        10 minutes or more (at 23°C (73°F))

        3. Confirm that the primer has completely dried by touching the back door outside garnish. Then remove the tape.

      *a Scribed Line - -
      1. Install 3 new front ultrasonic sensor clips.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

        2. Remove the release paper from the 3 front ultrasonic sensor clips.

        HINT: 

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        3. Install the 3 front ultrasonic sensor clips as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        • Apply the front ultrasonic sensor clip along the scribed line on the front bumper cover.
        • Press the front ultrasonic sensor clip firmly to install it.
  36. INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM WIRE 
  37. INSTALL FRONT SIDE ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Advanced Park) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
  38. INSTALL FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  39. INSTALL FRONT SIDE ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Advanced Park) 
  40. INSTALL FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 
  41. INSTALL FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 
  42. INSTALL REMOTE PARKING ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Advanced Park) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  43. INSTALL CONNECTOR COVER (w/o Panoramic View Monitor System) 
  44. INSTALL TELEVISION CAMERA WIRE (w/ Panoramic View Monitor System) 
  45. INSTALL TELEVISION CAMERA COVER (w/ Panoramic View Monitor System) 
  46. INSTALL FRONT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Panoramic View Monitor System) 
  47. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  48. INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM WIRE 
  49. INSTALL WASHER HOSE (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
  50. INSTALL NO. 2 WASHER BRACKET (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  51. INSTALL NO. 1 WASHER BRACKET (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 washer bracket.
  52. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
  53. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
  54. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER COVER LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
  55. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER COVER RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
  56. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET
