Reassembly [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 1 AMPLIFIER ANTENNA ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. INSTALL NO. 5 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
  3. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to INSTALLATION [03/2024 - ]

  4. INSTALL BACK DOOR STAY STOPPER 
  5. INSTALL BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY LOWER BRACKET LH 
    See step  2
  6. INSTALL BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY LOWER BRACKET RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
  7. INSTALL BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY UPPER BRACKET LH 
    See step  3
  8. INSTALL BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY UPPER BRACKET RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
  9. INSTALL POWER BACK DOOR UNIT SET ASSEMBLY LH

  11. INSTALL BACK DOOR PANEL CUSHION

  21. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY

  22. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP 
  23. INSTALL REAR WASHER NOZZLE 
  24. INSTALL REAR SIDE SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  27. INSTALL HOLE PLUG 
  28. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY WITH COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH

  29. INSTALL BACK DOOR WEIGHT 

    Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  30. INSTALL MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU

  31. INSTALL INNER MIRROR CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Digital Inner Mirror)

      Cleaning Area Primer
      Double-sided Tape - -
      1. Clean the surface of the back door panel sub-assembly.

        1. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the back door panel sub-assembly.

        NOTE:
        • Installing the back door lock cover with some double-sided tape remaining may cause poor adhesion. Perform this procedure until the tape is sufficiently removed.
        • Make sure to use a cloth when removing. Using a screwdriver, etc., may cause damage and poor adhesion.

        2. Wipe off any adhesive residue with cleaner.

      2. Apply primer to back door panel sub-assembly on the installation area of the back door lock cover.

        1. Using a brush or felt, apply primer or equivalent to the back door lock cover installation area.

        NOTE:
        • Replace the brush or felt if it is dirty or has become hardened.
        • Do not apply primer to the painted side.
        • Do not touch the back door panel sub-assembly until the primer has dried.

        2. Let the primer dry sufficiently.

        NOTE:

        Do not touch applied surfaces until the primer is dry.

        Recommended drying time

        10 minutes or more (at 23°C (73°F))

      3. Install a new back door lock cover.

        1. Peel off the release paper from a new back door lock cover.

        2. Engage the guide and 2 claws to install a new back door lock cover.

        NOTE:
        • After removing the release paper, do not touch the surface of the tape with your fingers or cotton work gloves.
        • The application strength of the back door lock cover will weaken if reapplied. If reapplication is necessary, be sure to replace it with a new one.

        HINT: 

        • Apply pressure so that it does not lift up from the back door panel sub-assembly.
        • Pushing force: 50 N (5.1 kgf) for 3 seconds
  39. INSTALL ROPE HOOK 
  40. INSTALL BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH 
  41. INSTALL BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH 
  42. INSTALL BACK DOOR UPPER TRIM COVER 
  43. INITIALIZE POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM 

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2021 - ]

  44. INSPECT POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM 
    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [11/2021 - ]
  45. PERFORM CALIBRATION 
    1. w/ Parking Assist Monitor System:

      Refer to CALIBRATION [11/2021 - ]

    2. w/ Panoramic View Monitor System:

      Refer to CALIBRATION [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to CALIBRATION [03/2024 - ]

    3. w/ Advanced Park:

      Refer to CALIBRATION [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to CALIBRATION [03/2024 - ]

  46. ADJUST BACK DOOR 
    HINT: 
    When the back door damper stay lower bracket is removed, it is necessary to perform back door position adjustment.
