Removal [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    NOTE:

    When removing the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH using a heat light.

    Part Temperature
    Front Fender Moulding Sub-assembly LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH excessively.

      *a Double-sided Tape - -
      Screw Clip
      1. Put protective tape around the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH.
      2. Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the 2 screws.
      3. Remove the 5 clips.
      4. Heat the adhesive of the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH using a heat light.
      5. Insert a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape into the gap and detach the claw and double-sided tape in the order shown in the illustration.
      6. Using moulding remover B, detach the clip and double-sided tape in the order shown in the illustration and remove the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH.
        NOTE:

        Detach the clip one by one.

  2. REMOVE NO. 3 BODY OUTSIDE MOULDING PAD 
    NOTE:

    When removing the No. 3 body outside moulding pad, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the No. 3 body outside moulding pad using a heat light.

    No. 3 Body Outside Moulding Pad 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:

    Do not heat the No. 3 body outside moulding pad excessively.

      1. Heat the adhesive of the No. 3 body outside moulding pad using a heat light.
      2. Remove the No. 3 body outside moulding pad.
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 BODY OUTSIDE MOULDING PAD 
    NOTE:

    When removing the No. 1 body outside moulding pad, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the No. 1 body outside moulding pad using a heat light.

    No. 1 Body Outside Moulding Pad 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:

      1. Heat the adhesive of the No. 1 body outside moulding pad using a heat light.
      2. Remove the No. 1 body outside moulding pad.
