Removal [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR NAME PLATE 
    NOTE:

    When removing the back door name plate, heat the back door name plate using a heat light.

    Standard Value

    Part Temperature
    Back Door Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the back door name plate excessively.

      1. Put protective tape around the back door name plate.
      2. Heat the adhesive of the back door name plate using a heat light.
      3. Remove the back door name plate by the following procedure.

        1. Insert piano wire between the lower back door outside garnish sub-assembly and back door name plate.

        2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

        3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the back door name plate to the lower back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the lower back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE REAR BODY NO. 3 NAME PLATE 
    NOTE:

    When removing the rear body No. 3 name plate, heat the rear body No. 3 name plate using a heat light.

    Rear Body No. 3 Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the rear body No. 3 name plate excessively.

      1. Put protective tape around the rear body No. 3 name plate.
      2. Heat the adhesive of the rear body No. 3 name plate using a heat light.
      3. Remove the rear body No. 3 name plate by the following procedure.

        1. Insert piano wire between the lower back door outside garnish sub-assembly and rear body No. 3 name plate.

        2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

        3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the rear body No. 3 name plate to the lower back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the lower back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER NO. 2 NAME PLATE 
    NOTE:

    When removing the front fender No. 2 name plate, heat the front fender No. 2 name plate using a heat light.

    Front Fender No. 2 Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the front fender No. 2 name plate excessively.

      1. Put protective tape around the front fender No. 2 name plate.
      2. Heat the adhesive of the front fender No. 2 name plate using a heat light.
      3. Remove the front fender No. 2 name plate by the following procedure.

        1. Insert piano wire between the front fender panel and front fender No. 2 name plate.

        2. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

        3. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the front fender No. 2 name plate to the front fender panel.

        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the front fender panel.

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER NO. 1 NAME PLATE 
    NOTE:

    When removing the front fender No. 1 name plate, heat the front fender No. 1 name plate using a heat light.

    WARNING:
