Inspection [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT (TRIP SWITCH) 
    1. Check the resistance.

      *1 Up Switch
      *2 Down Switch
      *a Component without harness connected
      (Light Control Rheostat (Trip Switch))
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        I80-5 (RV) - I80-7 (E) Up switch pressed Below 1 Ω
        I80-5 (RV) - I80-7 (E) Up switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
        I80-5 (RV) - I80-7 (E) Down switch pressed 1.71 to 1.89 kΩ
        I80-5 (RV) - I80-7 (E) Down switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat (trip switch).

    2. Check illumination.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Light Control Rheostat (Trip Switch))
      1. Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the light illumination condition.

        OK

        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) -I80-3 (ILL+)
        Battery negative (-) - I80-8 (ILL-)        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat (trip switch).
