DTC B0098-83: Right Side Restraints Sensor 3 Value of Signal Protection Calculation Incorrect [11/2021 - 10/2023]: Procedure

Pre-procedure1

1. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

2. Check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes

Pre-procedure1

1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

   Procedure1

3. Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag ECU assembly, rear airbag sensor RH and side airbag sensor assembly RH.

   OK

   The connectors are properly connected.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

   Post-procedure1

4. None

CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY

1. Interchange the rear airbag sensor RH with LH and connect the connectors.

   *1	Rear Airbag Sensor LH
   *2	Airbag ECU Assembly
   *3	Wire Harness

2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
4. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

   Result

   Proceed to

4. Turn the power switch off.
5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
6. Return the rear airbag sensor LH and RH to their original positions and connect the connectors.

REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

REPLACE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]
