Monitor Description

The hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly commands gear shifts by turning the shift solenoid valves on and off. According to the MG2 (motor) revolution speed and output shaft revolution speed, the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly detects the actual gear (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear position). When the gear commanded by the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly and the actual gear are not the same, the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.
