Confirmation Driving Pattern

HINT: 

• After repair has been completed, clear the DTC and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.

  Refer to UTILITY [11/2021 - 10/2023]

• When clearing the permanent DTCs, refer to the "CLEAR PERMANENT DTC" procedure.

  Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2022 - 10/2023]

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
3. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
4. Turn the power switch off and wait for 2 minutes or more.
5. Turn the power switch on (READY). [*1]
6. With the brake pedal depressed, move the shift lever to select shift state reverse (R). [*2]
7. Drive the vehicle in reverse for 5 m (16 ft.) or more with the accelerator pedal depressed slightly. [*3]
8. After stopping the vehicle, move the shift lever to select shift state drive (D). [*4]
9. Accelerate until the value of the "Current Calculated Gear Position" Data List item changes to "4th", and then release the accelerator slightly and continue driving for a few seconds. [*5]
   WARNING:

   Strictly observe posted speed limits, traffic laws and road conditions when performing this test.

   HINT: 

   • It is easy to enter 4th gear by first accelerating to 80 km/h (50 mph), slowly releasing the accelerator pedal until it is fully released, and then accelerating again.
   • [*1] to [*5]: Normal judgment procedure.

     The normal judgment procedure is used to complete DTC judgment and also used when clearing permanent DTCs.

10. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Utility / All Readiness.
11. Check the DTC judgment result.

    HINT: 

    • If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
    • If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
    • If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE, perform the normal judgment procedure again.
