DTC P2807-13: Pressure Control Solenoid "G" Circuit Open [11/2021 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE (SOLENOID (SL4) VALVE) - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the A106 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A106-6 (SL4+) - A106-5 (SL4-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
      A106-6 (SL4+) or A106-5 (SL4-) - Body ground power switch off 10 kΩ or higher
    3. Reconnect the A106 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the D8 transmission wire connector.
    2. Disconnect the A106 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D8-3 (SL4+) - A106-6 (SL4+) Power switch off Below 1 Ω
      D8-10 (SL4-) - A106-5 (SL4-) Power switch off Below 1 Ω
      D8-3 (SL4+) or A106-6 (SL4+) - Body ground Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher
      D8-10 (SL4-) or A106-5 (SL4-) - Body ground Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher

      (to Transmission Wire)

      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Assembly)
    4. Reconnect the A106 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
    5. Reconnect the D8 transmission wire connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT SOLENOID (SL4) VALVE 
    1. Remove the solenoid (SL4) valve.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2017 - ]

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Solenoid (SL4) Valve)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Terminal 1 of the solenoid (SL4) valve - terminal 2 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
    3. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector. Check that the valve moves and makes an operating sound.

      OK

      Valve moves and makes an operating sound.

    4. Install the solenoid (SL4) valve.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SOLENOID (SL4) VALVE. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2017 - ]
