DTC P2797-62: Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Signal Compare Failure [11/2021 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Read the DTCs using the Techstream.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      P2797-62 only is output, or DTCs except the ones in the table below are also output. A
      Any of the following DTCs are also output. B
      DTC No. Relevant DTC
      P0C29-96 Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Driver Circuit Component Internal Failure
      P0C2B-31 Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Control Module Feedback Signal No Signal
      P3175-11 Oil Pump Motor Temperature Sensor Circuit Short to Ground
      P3175-15 Oil Pump Motor Temperature Sensor Circuit Short to Auxiliary Battery or Open
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2021 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    A

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Read the DTCs using the Techstream.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      P2797-62 only is output, or DTCs except the ones in the table below are also output. A
      Any of the following DTCs are also output. B
      DTC No. Relevant DTC
      P0745-13 Pressure Control Solenoid "A" Circuit Open
      P076A-11 Shift Solenoid "H" Control Circuit Short to Ground
      P076A-15 Shift Solenoid "H" Control Circuit Short to Battery or Open
      P0775-13 Pressure Control Solenoid "B" Circuit Open
      P0795-13 Pressure Control Solenoid "C" Circuit Open
      P08CC-11 Shift Solenoid "J" Control Circuit Short to Ground
      P08CC-15 Shift Solenoid "J" Control Circuit Short to Battery or Open
      P2713-13 Pressure Control Solenoid "D" Circuit Open
      P2807-13 Pressure Control Solenoid "G" Circuit Open
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2021 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    A

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Read the DTCs using the Techstream.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Only DTC P2797-62 is output A
      DTC P2797-62 and other DTCs are output B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2021 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    A

  4. CHECK OIL PUMP MOTOR CIRCUIT 

    Refer to Oil Pump Motor Circuit [11/2021 - 10/2023]

    HINT: 

    If the "Oil Pump Motor Circuit" inspection results are normal, perform the next step.

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]
