Installation [10/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 2 HV BATTERY INTAKE FILTER 

    Refer to INSPECTION [10/2017 - ]

  2. INSTALL HV BATTERY BRACKET LH 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Install the HV battery bracket LH with the bolt and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL HV BATTERY BRACKET RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the HV battery bracket LH.

  4. INSTALL NO. 9 HV BATTERY SHIELD PANEL 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Install the No. 9 HV battery shield panel with the 4 nuts.

      Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf)

  5. INSTALL HV BATTERY DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Install the HV battery duct sub-assembly with the clip.

  6. INSTALL HV BATTERY ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Install the HV battery assembly with the 3 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Do not allow foreign matter, such as grease or oil, to adhere to the bolts of the HV battery.
      • To prevent the wire harness from being caught, make sure to bundle the wire harness using insulating tape or equivalent.
      • Use cardboard or another similar material to protect the HV battery and vehicle body from damage.
      • Since the HV battery is very heavy, 2 people are needed to remove it. When removing the HV battery, be careful not to damage the parts around it.
      • When removing/installing/moving the HV battery, make sure not to tilt it more than 80°.
      • If the HV battery has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  7. INSTALL NO. 4 HV BATTERY EXHAUST DUCT 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

      Install the No. 4 HV battery exhaust duct.

    2. Attach the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.
  8. CONNECT FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Connect the 2 connectors and install the nut.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  9. INSTALL NO. 10 HV BATTERY SHIELD PANEL 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Install the No. 10 HV battery shield panel with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

    2. Install the battery cover lock striker, then push the button to lock it.

  10. INSTALL CENTER NO. 1 FLOOR TO BLACE EXTENSION 
    1. Install the center No. 1 floor to blace extension with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf/cm, 87 in.lbf) 

  11. CONNECT FLOOR WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

      Connect the 2 connectors.

    2. Attach the 2 claws and install the connector cover.

  12. INSTALL CENTER NO. 2 FLOOR TO BRACE EXTENSION 
    1. Install the center No. 2 floor to blace extension with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf/cm, 87 in.lbf) 

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  15. INSTALL CENTER ROOM PARTITION GARNISH ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  16. INSTALL NO. 4 HYBRID BATTERY INTAKE DUCT

      Install the No. 4 hybrid battery intake duct with the 4 clips.

  17. INSTALL NO. 2 EV BATTERY INTAKE DUCT

      Install the No. 2 EV battery intake duct with the 4 clips.

  18. INSTALL ROOM PARTITION BOARD ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  19. INSTALL ROOM PARTITION BOARD ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)

  20. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH

  36. INSTALL REAR STEERING CONTROL ECU (w/ Dynamic Rear Steering)

  37. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  38. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER CATCH BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  39. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE 
    1. Connect the each connector and install the No. 1 luggage room wire.

      *C w/ 100W Voltage Inverter *D Relay Block A

    2. Install the bolt (D).

      Bolt (D) 

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    3. Relay Block B:
      1. Install the 2 bolts (C).

        Bolt (C) 

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    4. Relay Block A:
      1. Install the 2 bolts (A), bolt (B) and 2 nuts.

        Bolt (A) 

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

        Bolt (B) 

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

        Nut 

        Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    5. w/ 100W Voltage Inverter:
      1. Connect the connector.
      2. Attach the clamp.
    6. w/ Dynamic Rear Steering:
      1. Install the bolt (E).

        Bolt E: 

        Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

      2. Attach the clamp.
    7. w/ Air Suspension:
      1. Attach the clamp and 3 claws.

      2. Connect the connector to height control compressor.
  40. INSTALL EARTH WIRE 
    1. Install the earth wire with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 29.35 N.m (299 kgf/cm, 22 ft.lbf) 

  41. INSTALL AUXILIARY BATTERY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2017 - 10/2020]

  42. INSTALL NO. 3 EARTH WIRE 
    1. Install the No. 3 earth wire with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

  43. INSTALL SUB-BATTERY MODULE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2017 - 10/2020]

  44. CONNECT FLOOR UNDER WIRE 
    1. Connect the HV floor under wire with the nut.

      Torque: 7.55 N.m (77 kgf/cm, 67 in.lbf) 

    2. Attach the claw, clamp and install the battery terminal cover.

  45. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2017 - 10/2020]

  46. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2017 - 10/2020]

  47. INSTALL INVERTER COVER ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  48. INSTALL REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  49. INSTALL REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET LH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the RH side.

  50. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH
