DTC C1240-00: Yaw Rate Sensor / Multi-axis Acceleration Sensor Module "A" [11/2021 - 10/2023]: Procedure

1. Check that the part number of the installed yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is correct.

   OK

   Yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) installed in the vehicle has the correct part number.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

OK

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Chassis > Brake/EPB > Clear DTCs 

2. Turn the ignition switch off.

   Result

1. Based on the Freeze Frame Data and interview with the customer, attempt to reproduce the conditions when the malfunction occurred.
2. Check if the same DTC is output.
