DTC C0512-14: Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Short to Ground or Open [11/2021 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (MOMENTARY INTERRUPTION)
    1. Select the line graph display on the GTS.
    2. Check for any momentary interruption in the wire harness and connector.

Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2021 - 10/2023]

      Chassis > Brake/EPB > Data List

Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note

    See step  2

  2. INSPECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE RH
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.

      OK

      The connector is securely connected.

    3. Disconnect the z24 and L175 skid control sensor wire RH connector.
    4. Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.

      OK

      No deformation or corrosion.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z24-2 (RR+) - L175-3 (RR+) Always Below 1 Ω
z24-2 (RR+) or L175-3 (RR+) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      z24-1 (RR-) - L175-4 (RR-) Always Below 1 Ω
z24-1 (RR-) or L175-4 (RR-) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

REPLACE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE RH

    Result:

    OK

    See step  3

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE RH - BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY)
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.

      OK

      The connector is securely connected.

    2. Disconnect the A102 No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
    3. Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.

      OK

      No deformation or corrosion.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L175-3 (RR+) - A102-20 (RR+) Always Below 1 Ω
