DTC B166A-62: Right Side Restraints Sensor 5 / Left Side Restraints Sensor 5 Signal Compare Failure [11/2021 - 10/2023]: Procedure

1. Check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes

GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2021 - 10/2023]

1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
3. Replace the door side airbag sensor LH with a new one or known good one.

   HINT: 

   Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

   HINT: 

   • When using a new part, since the door side airbag sensor RH and LH have the same part number, prepare either one.
   • Use the prepared door side airbag sensor to check the door side airbag sensor RH as well.
4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
6. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

   Result

4. Turn the power switch off.
5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
6. Return the right side restraints sensor that was installed for testing to its original location.

REPLACE DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

1. Replace the door side airbag sensor RH with a new one or known good one.

   HINT: 

   Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

   HINT: 

   • When using a new part, since the door side airbag sensor LH and RH have the same part number, prepare either one.
   • Use the prepared door side airbag sensor to check the door side airbag sensor LH as well.
2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
4. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs
