- CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS
Pre-procedure1
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Procedure1
- Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag ECU assembly and multi-display (passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator).
OK
The connectors are properly connected.

- Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.
*1 Multi-display (Passenger Airbag ON/OFF Indicator) *2 Airbag ECU Assembly *3 Wire Harness - Disconnect the multi-display (passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator) connector.
Procedure1
- Check that the connectors (on the airbag ECU assembly side and multi-display (passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator) side) are not damaged.
OK
The terminals of the connectors are not deformed or damaged.

- Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

Pre-procedure1
- Connect the G167 multi-display (passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator) connector.
*1 Multi-display (Passenger Airbag ON/OFF Indicator) *2 Airbag ECU Assembly *3 Wire Harness *a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Airbag ECU Assembly) - Using a service wire, connect terminal 35 (PAON) of connector B and body ground.NOTE:
Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
Procedure1
- Check the passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator operation.
OK
The passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator "ON" does not come on.

Proceed to OK NG Post-procedure1
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Disconnect the service wire from connector B.

REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - ]
- Connect the G167 multi-display (passenger airbag ON/OFF indicator) connector.
