DTC B009E-83: Right Side Restraints Sensor 5 Value of Signal Protection Calculation Incorrect [11/2021 - 10/2023]: Procedure

Pre-procedure1

1. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

2. Check for DTCs.

Pre-procedure1

1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

   Procedure1

3. Check that the connectors are properly connected to the door side airbag sensor RH and rear airbag sensor RH.

   OK

   The connectors are properly connected.

   Post-procedure1

4. None

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY

1. Interchange the door side airbag sensor RH with LH and connect the connectors.

   *1	Rear Airbag Sensor RH
   *2	Door Side Airbag Sensor LH
   *3	Wire Harness

2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
4. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

   Result

   Proceed to

4. Turn the power switch off.
5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
6. Return the door side airbag sensor LH and RH to their original positions and connect the connectors.

REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

REPLACE DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]
