DTC C1315: SMC1 Changeover Solenoid; DTC C1316: SMC2 Changeover Solenoid; DTC C1352: Increasing Pressure Solenoid (FR); DTC C1353: Increasing Pressure Solenoid (FL); DTC C1354: Increasing Pressure Solenoid (RR); DTC C1355: Increasing Pressure Solenoid (RL); DTC C1356: Decreasing Pressure Solenoid (FR); DTC C1357: Decreasing Pressure Solenoid (FL); DTC C1358: Decreasing Pressure Solenoid (RR); DTC C1359: Decreasing Pressure Solenoid (RL) [10/2020 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Brake Actuator Assembly)

    2. Disconnect the A8 brake actuator assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      HINT: 

      Check the brake actuator assembly when it is cooled down.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A8-37 (SMC1) - A8-36 (BS1) Always 15.3 to 17.3 Ω
      A8-37 (SMC1) or A8-36 (BS1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A8-19 (SMC2) - A8-20 (BS2) Always 15.3 to 17.3 Ω
      A8-19 (SMC2) or A8-20 (BS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A8-44 (FRA+) - A8-43 (FRA-) Always 3.6 to 4.2 Ω
      A8-44 (FRA+) or A8-43 (FRA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A8-35 (FLA+) - A8-38 (FLA-) Always 3.6 to 4.2 Ω
      A8-35 (FLA+) or A8-38 (FLA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A8-39 (RRA+) - A8-40 (RRA-) Always 3.6 to 4.2 Ω

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.
    2. Disconnect the A13 and A10 skid control ECU assembly connectors.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A10-26 (RLA+) - A8-41 (RLA+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A10-26 (RLA+) or A8-41 (RLA+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A10-27 (RLA-) - A8-42 (RLA-) Always Below 1 Ω
      A10-27 (RLA-) or A8-42 (RLA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A13-26 (RRA+) - A8-39 (RRA+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A13-26 (RRA+) or A8-39 (RRA+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A13-27 (RRA-) - A8-40 (RRA-) Always Below 1 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Reconnect the A13 and A10 skid control ECU assembly connectors.
    2. Reconnect the A8 brake actuator assembly connector.
    3. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2020 - 10/2023]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

    4. Turn the power switch off.
    5. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    6. Check if the same DTC is output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2020 - 10/2023]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs C1315, C1316, C1352, C1353, C1354, C1355, C1356, C1357, C1358 and C1359 are not output. A
      DTCs C1315, C1316, C1352, C1353, C1354, C1355, C1356, C1357, C1358 and/or C1359 are output. B
