DTC C1249: Open Circuit in Stop Light Switch Circuit; DTC P0573: Brake Switch "A" Circuit High [10/2020 - 10/2023]: Procedure

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2020 - 10/2023]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

2. Turn the power switch off.
3. Turn the power switch on (IG).
4. Depress the brake pedal for 5 seconds or more.
5. Check if the same DTC is output.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2020 - 10/2023]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   DTC C1380 is not output.	A
   DTC C1380 is output.	B

Result: 

B 

GO TO DTC (C1380). Refer to  DTC C1380: Stop Light Control Relay Malfunction [10/2020 - 10/2023]

1. Depress the brake pedal and check that all the stop lights turn on.

   OK

   All stop lights turn on

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2020 - 10/2023]

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2020 - 10/2023]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

2. Turn the power switch off.
3. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds or more.
4. Check if the same DTC is output.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2020 - 10/2023]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes
