Removal [04/2013 - 06/2014]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 
  2. SEPARATE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the nut and separate the rear height control sensor sub-assembly from the rear No. 1 upper control arm assembly.

  3. SEPARATE TOE CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  3

  4. SEPARATE REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and nut, and separate the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly from the rear axle assembly.
      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.

  5. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY 

    See step  2

  6. SEPARATE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Support the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly using a jack and wooden block.
      NOTE:
      • When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, be sure to jack it up slowly.
      • Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.

      *a Wooden Block
      *b Jack
    2. Remove the bolt and nut, and separate the rear shock absorber assembly from the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.
      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.

  7. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING 
    1. for Type A:
      1. Loosen the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly with the nut (rear suspension member sub-assembly side).

        NOTE:
        • Because the bolt has its own stopper, do not turn the bolt. Loosen the nut with the bolt secured.
        • Do not remove the nut.
    2. for Type B:
      1. Loosen the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly with the bolt (rear suspension member sub-assembly side).
        NOTE:
        • Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.
        • Do not remove the bolt.

    3. Remove the bolt and nut, and separate the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly from the rear axle assembly.

      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.

    4. Slowly lower the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, and then remove the rear coil spring and rear upper coil spring insulator.
  8. REMOVE REAR UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the rear upper coil spring insulator from the rear coil spring.
  9. REMOVE REAR LOWER COIL SPRING INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the rear lower coil spring insulator from the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.
