Installation [04/2013 - 06/2014]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL REAR LOWER COIL SPRING INSULATOR 
    1. Install the rear lower coil spring insulator to the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.
  2. INSTALL REAR UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR 
    1. Install the rear upper coil spring insulator to the rear coil spring.
  3. INSTALL REAR COIL SPRING 
    1. Set the rear coil spring and rear upper coil spring insulator to the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.
      NOTE:
      • Make sure to install the rear coil spring with the identification mark facing downward.
      • Set the rear coil spring so that the identification mark is positioned as shown in the illustration.

      *b 45° or less
    2. Using a jack and wooden block, slowly jack up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly and then temporarily install the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly to the rear axle assembly with the bolt and nut.
      WARNING:

      Do not jack up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly too high as the vehicle may fall.

      NOTE:
      • Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.
      • When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, be sure to jack it up slowly.
      • Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.

      HINT: 

      Insert the bolt with the threaded end facing the front of the vehicle.

    3. Check that the rear upper coil spring insulator and rear lower coil spring insulator are installed as shown in the illustration.

  4. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Temporarily install the rear shock absorber assembly to the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly with the bolt and nut.
      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

      HINT: 

      Insert the bolt with the threaded end facing the front of the vehicle.

  5. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY 

    See step  5

  6. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. Temporarily install the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly to the rear axle assembly with the bolt and nut.
      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

      HINT: 

      Insert the bolt with the threaded end facing the front of the vehicle.

  7. INSTALL TOE CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  5

  8. STABILIZE SUSPENSION 

    See step  6

  9. INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY 

    See step  7

  10. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 

    See step  12

  11. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 90 N.m (918 kgf/cm, 66 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

  12. INSTALL REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the rear height control sensor sub-assembly to the rear No. 1 upper control arm assembly with the nut.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  13. INSTALL REAR WHEEL 

    Torque: 103 N.m (1050 kgf/cm, 76 ft.lbf) 

  14. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [04/2013 - 08/2015]

  15. INITIALIZE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SIGNAL 

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2013 - 10/2016]

  16. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING (for HID Headlight) 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [04/2013 - 10/2016]

  17. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING (for LED Headlight) 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [04/2013 - 10/2016]
