Reassembly [04/2013 - 10/2016]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the rear bumper energy absorber.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
    1. Engage the guide and claw.

    2. Install the 2 screws.

    3. Install the No. 1 rear bumper side support LH with a new grommet.

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
    1. Engage the 4 claws.

    2. Engage the 3 clips to install the No. 2 rear bumper side support LH as shown in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [04/2013 - 08/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [08/2015 - 10/2016]

  8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [04/2013 - 08/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [08/2015 - 10/2016]

  10. INSTALL REAR LIGHT COVER (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [04/2013 - 08/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [08/2015 - 10/2016]

  11. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL REAR LIGHT COVER (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainers.

  14. INSTALL ULTRASONIC SENSOR WITH CLIP (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for all ultrasonic sensor with clips.

  15. INSTALL NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 
    1. Connect the 4 connectors.

    2. Engage the 4 clamps to install the No. 3 luggage room wire.
  16. INSTALL REAR LOWER BUMPER COVER 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and 10 claws.

    2. Install the 5 clips.

    3. Install the rear lower bumper cover with the 2 screws.

  17. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Engage the guide and claw.

    2. Install the reflex reflector assembly LH with the screw.
  18. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  19. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PIECE 
    1. Engage the hook.

      *a Hook
    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the rear bumper piece.
  20. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD 
    1. Clean off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
    2. Remove the release paper from a new rear bumper pad.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    3. Install the rear bumper pad as shown in the illustration.

      *a Line

      HINT: 

      • Apply the rear bumper pad along the line marked on the rear bumper assembly.
      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
