Reassembly [10/2016 - 09/2020]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH 
    1. Engage the claw.

    2. Install the front bumper side retainer LH with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf/cm, 48 in.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 
    1. Install the front bumper reinforcement with the 14 bolts.

      Torque: 29 N.m (296 kgf/cm, 21 ft.lbf)

  4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the front bumper energy absorber.

  5. INSTALL NO. 3 RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING 
    1. Engage the 5 claws.

    2. Install the No. 3 radiator grille moulding with the 2 screws.

  6. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING 
    1. Engage the 4 claws.

    2. Install the No. 2 radiator grille moulding with the 2 screws.

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING 
    1. Engage the 3 claws.

    2. Install the No. 1 radiator grille moulding with the 2 screws.

  8. INSTALL INSIDE RADIATOR GRILLE 
    1. Engage the 6 claws to install the inside radiator grille.

  9. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING 
    1. Engage the 7 claws to install the lower radiator grille moulding.

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE BRACKET 
    1. Engage the 3 guides.

    2. Install the radiator grille bracket with the clip.

  12. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 8 guides and 12 claws.

    2. Install the radiator grille assembly with the 12 screws.

  13. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM 
    1. Engage the pin and claw.

    2. Install the radiator grille (or front panel) emblem with the 2 screws.

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT BUMPER BRACKET LH 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the No. 1 front bumper bracket LH with the clip.

  15. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT BUMPER BRACKET RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  16. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR 
    1. Engage the 7 clips and install the radiator grille protector.

  17. INSTALL FRONT ENERGY ABSORBER MOUNTING PLATE 
    1. Engage the 3 claws as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the 2 clips.

    3. Install the front energy absorber mounting plate with the 4 screws.
  18. INSTALL LOWER FRONT BUMPER COVER

    2. Engage the 4 claws to install the lower front bumper cover.
  19. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER RETAINER BRACKET 
    1. Engage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the No. 2 front bumper retainer bracket with the 2 screws.

  20. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT BUMPER RETAINER BRACKET 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 front bumper retainer bracket.

  21. INSTALL NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE (for Type A) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    1. Clean the installation surface of the No. 1 moulding tape.
      1. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.
        NOTE:
        • If there is any foreign matter on the front bumper cover when the No. 1 moulding tape is installed, adhesion failure may occur.
        • Do not use a screwdriver or other tool to remove the double-sided tape as the front bumper cover may be damaged, possibly leading to adhesion failure.
      2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
    2. Install a new No. 1 moulding tape.
      WARNING:
      • Do not touch the heat light, as doing so may cause in burns.
      • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

      HINT: 

      If the temperature of the No. 1 moulding tape or its installation surface on the front bumper cover is below 15°C (59°F), adhesion failure may occur. Use a heat light to heat the No. 1 moulding tape and its installation surface on the front bumper cover to the recommended temperature (15 to 40°C (59 to 104°F)).

      1. Remove the release paper from a new No. 1 moulding tape.

        HINT: 

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      2. Install the No. 1 moulding tape to the front bumper cover as shown in the illustration.

        NOTE:

        If the No. 1 moulding tape has been removed, it must be replaced with a new one as it may be deformed or the strength of its adhesive may be deteriorated.

        HINT: 

        Make sure not to touch the exposed adhesive of the No. 1 moulding tape or the installation surface on the front bumper cover.

      3. Using a squeegee, evenly press the No. 1 moulding tape to the front bumper cover with a force of 29 N (3 kgf, 6.5 lbf) or more.

        HINT: 

        • Make sure that the corners of the No. 1 moulding tape are not damaged or peeling off.
        • After installing the No. 1 moulding tape, leave the front bumper cover in an area with an ambient temperature of 15°C (59°F) or more for 30 minutes or more to allow the adhesive to set.
      4. Remove the protector sheet from the No. 1 moulding tape.
  22. INSTALL NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE (for Type B) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    1. Clean the installation surface of the No. 1 moulding tape.
      1. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.
        NOTE:
        • If there is any foreign matter on the front bumper cover when the No. 1 moulding tape is installed, adhesion failure may occur.
        • Do not use a screwdriver or other tool to remove the double-sided tape as the front bumper cover may be damaged, possibly leading to adhesion failure.
      2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
    2. Install a new No. 1 moulding tape.

    1. Engage the 5 claws to install the lower radiator grille LH.

  24. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  25. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER 
    1. Engage the claw to install the front fender liner retainer as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  26. INSTALL NO. 2 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT 
    1. Install the clip.

    2. Install the No. 2 cool air intake duct with the 2 screws.
  27. INSTALL NO. 1 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 cool air intake duct.

  28. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE BRACKET LH 
    1. Engage the guide and claw.

    3. Install the front bumper side bracket LH with the 2 screws.
