Removal [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    for Standard:

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

    for Sport Package:

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR 

    HINT: 

    The illustration is for the LH side. The orientation for the RH side is the opposite of the LH side.

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front center ultrasonic sensor as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  3. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR 

    HINT: 

    The illustration is for the LH side. The orientation for the RH side is the opposite of the LH side.

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front corner ultrasonic sensor as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  4. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER 

    HINT: 

    • Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front corner ultrasonic sensor retainer is necessary.
    • When removing the front corner ultrasonic sensor retainer, heat the front bumper assembly and front corner ultrasonic sensor retainer using a heat light.
    • The illustration is for the LH side. Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
    1. Heat the front bumper assembly and front corner ultrasonic sensor retainer using a heat light at the specified temperature for 3 to 5 minutes.

      Heating Temperature

      Item Temperature
      Front Bumper Assembly 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
      Front Corner Ultrasonic Sensor Retainer
      WARNING:
      • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
      • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
      • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    2. Remove the front corner ultrasonic sensor retainer.

  5. DISCONNECT HEADLIGHT CLEANER HOSE (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 

    HINT: 

    The illustration is for the LH side. The orientation for the RH side is the opposite of the LH side.

    1. Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration to disconnect the headlight cleaner hose.

      Remove in this Direction
  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER HOSE (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 

    for Standard:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

    for Sport Package:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - ]

  7. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  8. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR GRILLE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  9. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE 

    for Standard:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

    for Sport Package:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [11/2021 - ]

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT 

    for Standard:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

    for Sport Package:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [11/2021 - ]

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 cool air intake duct.

  12. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    for Standard:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

    for Sport Package:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [11/2021 - ]

  13. REMOVE FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER 

    HINT: 

    The illustration is for the LH side. The orientation for the RH side is the opposite of the LH side.

    1. for Standard:
      1. Remove the 3 screws and front center ultrasonic sensor retainer.
