Removal [06/2018 - 08/2021]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 

    Refer to PRECAUTION [06/2018 - 08/2021] 

    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch (for Gasoline Model) or power switch (for HV Model) off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. CHANGE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM SETTINGS (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [06/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2019 - 08/2021]

  3. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  4. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 08/2021]

  5. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [06/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2020 - 08/2021]

  6. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [06/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2019 - 08/2021]

    for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [06/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2019 - 08/2021]

  7. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [06/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2019 - 08/2021]

    for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [06/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2019 - 08/2021]

  8. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  9. REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  10. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 09/2022] 

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  12. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  14. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 
    1. Using a moulding remover, pull the instrument side panel LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 6 claws.

    2. Pull the instrument side panel LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides and remove it.
  15. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws <D>.

    2. Pull the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 claws.

    3. Pull the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides.
    4. Disengage the 2 claws to disconnect the DLC3 connector.

    5. Disconnect the connector and disengage the 2 clamps to remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
  16. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claw and 2 guides.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws.

    3. Remove the screw <D>.

    4. Disengage the 5 claws and 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    5. Disengage each clamp.
    6. Disconnect each connector to remove the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.
  17. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 3 clips as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 1 instrument cluster moulding.

  18. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL 
    1. Disengage the 4 clips and 3 guides as shown in the illustration

    2. Disconnect the connector to remove the lower instrument panel.
  19. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [06/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [08/2020 - 08/2021]

  20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 
    1. Using a moulding remover, pull the instrument side panel RH in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 6 claws.

    2. Pull the instrument side panel RH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides and remove it.
  24. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Pull the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 7 claws and 2 guides.

    2. Pull the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides.
    3. Disengage the clamp.
    4. Disconnect the connector to remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
  25. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT FINISH SUB PANEL 
    1. Disengage the claw and clip as shown in the illustration to remove the lower instrument finish sub panel.

  26. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL LH 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws, 2 clips and guide as shown in the illustration to remove the lower instrument panel LH.

    1. Disengage the 16 claws and clip as shown in the illustration to remove the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.

  29. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 screws <C>.

    3. Disengage the 6 claws as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disconnect each connector to remove the glove compartment door assembly.
  30. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and 9 clips as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 2 instrument cluster moulding.

  31. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Headup Display) 
    1. Disengage the 9 claws, 2 clips and 6 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

    1. Disengage the 9 claws, 2 clips and 5 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

    1. Disengage the 5 claws, 8 clips and 4 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the upper instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.

  34. REMOVE NO. 1 SPEAKER OPENING COVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws as shown in the illustration.

  36. REMOVE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY WITH CLOCK

  37. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Disengage the 2 clips as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

    1. Pull the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 3 claws.

    2. Pull the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides and remove it.
  42. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

  43. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  44. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Pull the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 3 claws.

    2. Pull the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the 3 guides and remove it.

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  46. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH SWITCH

  47. REMOVE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) (w/ Manual (SOS) Switch)

    4. Remove the 2 bolts <A>.

      • Do not damage the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
      • Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.
