Disassembly [06/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    1. Static electricity countermeasures SST
      1. SST: Desktop anti-static mat set

        • SST: 09890-47010 
          1. 09891-04010
          2. 09891-04020
          3. 09891-04030
          4. 09891-04040
        • Anti-static mat
        • Wristband
        • Wristband connection wire (No. 1 grounding wire)
        • Ground connection wire (No. 2 grounding wire)
    2. Precautions during replacement
      1. Precautions during procedures:
        1. Before performing any procedures, touch an unpainted metal part or ground bolt of the vehicle to eliminate any static electricity.
        2. To prevent damage to electrical equipment, disconnect the battery power supply before installing and removing electrical equipment.
        3. Never touch the electronic parts of a printed wire board or the pins of an integrated circuit.
        4. When performing procedures, do not allow clothing to come near or contact parts.
      2. Wear SST (wristband) firmly on your wrist.

      3. Connect SST (No. 2 grounding wire) and SST (anti-static mat) to an appropriate grounding point in the workspace and on the work table.

        HINT: 

        When working inside the vehicle: 

        Connect SST (No. 2 grounding wire) to an unpainted metal part or ground bolt, etc.

      4. Connect SST (No. 1 grounding wire), SST (wristband) and SST (anti-static mat).
      5. Always place the meter mirror sub-assembly and its components on SST (anti-static mat).
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 COMBINATION SPEEDOMETER CUSHION 
    1. Remove the No. 1 combination speedometer cushion.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 COMBINATION METER MIRROR PLATE 
    NOTE:
    • Prevention of static electricity is required during this procedure.
    • Use static electricity countermeasures SST (desktop anti-static mat set) and observe all precautions to prevent damage to the system by electrostatic discharge (ESD).
    1. Remove the 7 screws.

    2. Pull the No. 1 combination meter mirror plate in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 claws.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
    3. Move the No. 1 combination meter mirror plate direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force when move the No. 1 combination meter mirror plate.

    4. Disengage the clamp.

    5. Remove the screw.

    6. Disengage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the No. 1 combination meter mirror plate.
