- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output.

- VEHICLE OPERATION CHECK
- With the wheels not contacting the ground, check the condition of the rear wheels when the electric parking brake is operating and not operating.

- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the Techstream.
Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test
Tester Display Park Warning - Check the combination meter assembly.

Parking brake indicator light turns on or off in accordance with Techstream operation.

REPLACE PARKING BRAKE ECU (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY). Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [07/2022 - ]

GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2022 - ]
- Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the Techstream.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BEPB TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
- Turn the power switch off.
- Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.
OK
The connector is securely connected.
- Disconnect the A48 parking brake ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

(to Parking Brake ECU (Brake Actuator Assembly)) - Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.
OK
No deformation or corrosion.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
