Removal [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    See step  12 [10/2018 - 08/2021] See step  12 [08/2021 - 07/2022] See step  12 [07/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR UNIT ASSEMBLY SET 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the 2 stop rings along their grooves.

      *a Protective tape
    3. Disengage the 2 ball joints to remove the power back door unit assembly set.
      NOTE:

      Remove the power back door unit assembly set while supporting the back door by hand.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY LOWER BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and back door damper stay lower bracket with back door upper stopper cushion.

    2. Disengage the claws to remove the back door damper stay lower bracket.

  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY UPPER BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and back door damper stay upper bracket.
