Open in Bus 1 Main Bus Line [10/2018 - 08/2021]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN MAIN BUS LINES (NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the No. 2 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 2 CAN Junction Connector)
      *b to No. 8 CAN Junction Connector
      *c to Central Gateway ECU (Network Gateway ECU) - -

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      F86-1 (CANH) - F86-7 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω No. 8 CAN junction connector
      F86-2 (CANH) - F86-8 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU)

      NG (Line to No. 8 CAN junction connector) C

    Result: 

    REPLACE NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN MAIN BUS LINES (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) - NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the F86 No. 2 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the central gateway ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Central Gateway ECU (Network Gateway ECU))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F61-23 (CA1H) - F61-8 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) - NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN MAIN BUS LINES (NO. 8 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the F86 No. 2 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the No. 8 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *b to No. 2 CAN Junction Connector
      *c to No. 2 CAN Junction Terminal - -

      Standard Resistance

  4. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN MAIN BUS LINES (NO. 2 CAN JUNCTION TERMINAL) 
    1. Reconnect the N111 No. 8 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the No. 2 CAN junction terminal connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      N96-3 (P) - N96-2 (N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
