DTC B15DB-87: Telematics Transceiver Missing Message [07/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - POWER SOURCE AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the F126 telematics transceiver connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F126-20 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F126-1 (+B) - Body ground IG OFF 11 to 14 V
      F126-19 (IG2) - Body ground IG ON 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the F130 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the F126 telematics transceiver connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F130-18 (USBV) - F126-15 (USBV) Always Below 1 Ω
      F130-17 (USBG) - F126-31 (USBG) Always Below 1 Ω
      F130-18 (USBV) or F126-15 (USBV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F130-17 (USBG) or F126-31 (USBG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (USBV, USBG) 
    1. With the radio receiver assembly connectors connected, disconnect the F126 telematics transceiver connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F126-31 (USBG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F126-15 (USBV) - F126-31 (USBG) IG ON 3 V or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the t6 radio receiver assembly connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio Receiver Assembly)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Telematics Transceiver)
    2. Disconnect the t4 telematics transceiver connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      t6-1 (USB+) - t4-2 (USB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      t6-2 (USB-) - t4-1 (USB-) Always Below 1 Ω
      t6-3 (GND) - t4-3 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      t6-1 (USB+) or t4-2 (USB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      t6-2 (USB-) or t4-1 (USB-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      t6-3 (GND) or t4-3 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER 
    1. Replace the telematics transceiver with a new one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [07/2022 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

  6. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 90 seconds.
    4. Turn the ignition switch off.
    5. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 90 seconds.
    6. Using the Techstream, recheck for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTC B15DB87 is output B

    Result: 

    TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER IS DEFECTIVE 

    Result: 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ]
