ECM Communication Stop Mode [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (ECM MAIN LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to ECM)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A36-8 (CANH) - A36-18 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (ECM) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK ECM POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT 
    1. Check the ECM power source circuit.

      Refer to ECM Power Source Circuit [10/2018 - 07/2022]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
