DTC B1507-18: Turn Signal Light Circuit Current Below Threshold [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light LH does not blink A
      Rear turn signal light LH does not blink B
      Front turn signal light RH does not blink C
      Rear turn signal light RH does not blink D

    Result: 

    B

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A15 headlight assembly LH*1 connector.
    2. Disconnect the A19 headlight assembly LH*2 connector.
    3. Disconnect the F24 combination meter assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A15-11 (TNS) - F24-13 (LL)*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      A19-2 (B) -F24-13 (LL)*2 Always Below 1 Ω
      A15-12 (GND) - Body ground*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      A19-1 (E) - Body ground*2 Always Below 1 Ω
      1. *1: w/ Headlight ECU
      2. *2: w/o Headlight ECU

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  4. INSPECT NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    *A for Triple Beam Headlight *B for Single Beam Headlight
    *a Component without harness connected
    (No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)    		 - -
    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B-20 (TURN+) - A15-11 (TNS)*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      B-9 (TURN+) - A15-11 (TNS)*2 Always Below 1 Ω
      B-13 (TURN-) - A15-12 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      1. *1: for Triple Beam Headlight
      2. *2: for Single Beam Headlight

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

  5. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT LH 
    1. Connect the F24 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Remove each No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly, interchange the headlight unit LH with RH and connect the connectors.
      1. for Triple Beam Headlight:

        Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

      2. for Single Beam Headlight:

        Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    3. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      OK (for Triple Beam Headlight) A
      OK (for Single Beam Headlight) B
      NG C

    Result:

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]  Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ] 

  6. CHECK HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Connect the F24 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Interchange the headlight assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    3. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]  Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ] 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the N47 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the F24 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N47-1 (TRN) - F24-11 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      N47-4 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  8. CHECK REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Connect the F24 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Interchange the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    3. Check that the rear turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Rear turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

  9. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the rear combination light assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear combination light assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [10/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]  Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ]

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LED. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ] 

  10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A16 headlight assembly RH*1 connector.
    2. Disconnect the A20 headlight assembly RH*2 connector.
    3. Disconnect the F24 combination meter assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A16-11 (TNS) - F24-7 (LR)*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      A20-2 (B) - F24-7 (LR)*2 Always Below 1 Ω
      A16-12 (GND) - Body ground*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      A20-1 (E) - Body ground*2 Always Below 1 Ω
      1. *1: w/ Headlight ECU
      2. *2: w/o Headlight ECU

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

  13. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT RH 
    1. Connect the F24 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Remove each No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly, interchange the headlight unit RH with LH and connect the connectors.
      1. for Triple Beam Headlight:

        Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

      2. for Single Beam Headlight:

        Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    3. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

  14. CHECK HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Connect the F24 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Interchange the headlight assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    3. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]  Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ] 

  15. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the N46 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the F24 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N46-1 (TRN) - F24-5 (TRNR) Always Below 1 Ω
      N46-4 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  16. CHECK REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Connect the F24 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Interchange the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    3. Check that the rear turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Rear turn signal light blinks.

      Result
