  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check vehicle condition.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs and proceed to the following step.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > Head Up Display > Trouble Codes

  3. CHECK FOR METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the F25 meter mirror sub-assembly connector.
    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      B132187 is output. A
      B132187 is not output. B

    REPLACE METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY 

  4. CHECK CAN WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the F23 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F23-8 (TX+) - F23-7 (TX-) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN WIRE OR CONNECTOR 

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check if meter/gauge system DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

    2. Check if audio and visual system DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

    3. Check for the DTCs and output pattern according to the following table.

  7. CHECK FOR MOBILE WIRELESS CHARGER CRADLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the F132 mobile wireless charger cradle assembly connector.
    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      B132187 is output. A
      B132187 is not output. B

    REPLACE MOBILE WIRELESS CHARGER CRADLE ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ] 

  8. CHECK CAN WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the F23 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F23-8 (TX+) - F23-7 (TX-) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
      F23-8 (TX+) - F58-4 (CG) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 200 Ω or higher
      F23-7 (TX-) - F58-4 (CG) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 200 Ω or higher
      F23-8 (TX+) - F58-16 (BAT) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 6 kΩ or higher
      F23-7 (TX-) - F58-16 (BAT) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 6 kΩ or higher

      Result

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ]

  9. CHECK CAN WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the F130 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F130-11 (CNH1) - F130-12 (CNL1) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
      F130-11 (CNH1) - F58-4 (CG) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 200 Ω or higher
      F130-12 (CNL1) - F58-4 (CG) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 200 Ω or higher
      F130-11 (CNH1) - F58-16 (BAT) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 6 kΩ or higher
      F130-12 (CNL1) - F58-16 (BAT) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 6 kΩ or higher

  10. CHECK RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the F23 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.

      OK

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Tool Setting Specified Condition
      F23-8 (TX+) - F23-7 (TX-) Ignition switch ON 1 V/DIV., 100 μs./DIV. Pulse generation

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ]
