Stereo Jack Adapter Light does not Illuminate [10/2018 - 10/2019]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY ILLUMINATION POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the F121 and F7 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connectors.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      F121-1 (UPI) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 5 V
      F7-8 (ACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the F115 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the F121 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Radio Receiver Assembly)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F121-1 (UPI) - F115-1 (USV1) Always Below 1 Ω
      F121-1 (UPI) or F115-1 (USV1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the F1 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the F7 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F1-16 (ACC) - F7-8 (ACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      F1-16 (ACC) or F7-8 (ACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 10/2019] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
