DTC B2410: Headlight Swivel ECU LH Communication; DTC B2411: Headlight Swivel ECU RH Communication [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Wait 10 seconds or more.
    2. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    3. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B2410 and B2411 are not output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to

      NG (DTC B2410 is output) B
      NG (DTC B2411 is output) C
      NG (DTC B2410 and B2411 are output) D

  3. INSPECT NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (No. 1 headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)      		 - -

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A15-19 (LINS) - C-4 (LINSI) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - ] 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH - NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the A15 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the A16 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A15-19 (LINS) - A16-19 (LINS) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (LINS TERMINAL SIGNAL OUTPUT)

    *a Front view of wire harness connector
    (to No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH)
    1. Connect the A15 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    2. Using a Techstream, check the waveform.

      OK

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A16-19 (LINS) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Pulse generation

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

  6. INSPECT NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [10/2018 - ]

    REPLACE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - ] 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH - NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the A15 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the A16 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A15-19 (LINS) or A16-19 (LINS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  8. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Connect the A15 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    6. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to

    Result:

  9. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Wait 10 seconds or more.
    2. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    3. Check for DTCs.

  10. CHECK NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Connect the A16 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

  11. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Trouble Codes.
    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to

  12. CHECK FOR DTC

  13. CHECK NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

    2. Connect the A15 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    3. Connect the A16 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

  14. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
