Speed Signal Circuit [11/2017 - 09/2020]: Procedure
- INSPECT ECU TERMINAL VOLTAGE (INPUT VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the O3 combination meter assembly connector.

(to Combination Meter Assembly) - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition O3-19 (+S) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 4.5 to 14 V HINT:
If any of the ECUs specified in the wiring diagram supplies power to the combination meter assembly, the combination meter assembly will output a waveform.

- Reconnect the O3 combination meter assembly connector.
- Disconnect the A86 brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) connector.

- INSPECT BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU) (INPUT WAVEFORM)
- Check the input waveform.

(Combination Meter Assembly)- Reconnect the A86 brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) connector.
- Remove the combination meter assembly with the connector(s) still connected.
- Connect an oscilloscope to terminal O3-20 (SI) and body ground.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn a wheel slowly.
- Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below.
Item Condition Tool setting 5 V/DIV., 20 ms./DIV. Vehicle condition Engine switch on (IG), wheel being rotated OK
The waveform is similar to that shown in the illustration.
HINT:
When the system is functioning normally, one wheel revolution generates 4 pulses. As the vehicle speed increases, the width indicated by (A) in the illustration narrows.

- Disconnect the O3 combination meter assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Disconnect the A78 ECM connector.
- Disconnect the O6 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
- Disconnect the O146 radio receiver assembly connector.
- Disconnect the O150 navigation ECU connector*1.
- Disconnect the O65 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector*2.
- Disconnect the T51 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Connect the T51 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
