Operating Light Control Rheostat does not Change Light Brightness [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
5. Check the values by referring table below.

   Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

   Tester Display
   Light Control Up Switch
   Light Control Down Switch

   OK

   Light control rheostat up or down switch condition displayed on the Techstream changes with the actual switch operation.

   NG

REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]

1. Remove the trip switch.

   Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]

2. Inspect the trip switch.

   Refer to INSPECTION [09/2014 - 10/2015] , or refer to INSPECTION [10/2015 - ]

REPLACE TRIP SWITCH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]

1. Disconnect the O3 combination meter assembly connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   O3-25 (TR) - O86-2 (RV)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   O3-26 (SW3) - O86-5 (E)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   O3-25 (TR) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   O3-26 (SW3) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
