DTC B150B: Lost Communication with Gigabit Video Interface [10/2014 - 09/2017]: Procedure

1. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 09/2017]

   Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

   OK

   DTCs are not output.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2014 - 09/2017] 

Result: 

OK 

See step  2

1. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - 09/2017]

   Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

   OK

   DTCs are not output.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

GO TO AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2014 - 09/2017] 

Result: 

OK 

See step  3

1. Replace the harness and connector (GVIF cable) with a new or normally functioning one.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait 30 seconds.
   NOTE:

   A maximum of 30 seconds is required to send/receive the registration information between the combination meter assembly and radio receiver assembly.

3. Operate the steering pad switch assembly and check that the audio tab illuminates.

   *a	Multi-information Display
   *b	Screen

4. Check for DTCs and check the display status of the multi-information display.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - ]

   Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

   OK

   The audio information illuminates and DTC B150B is not output.

   Result

   Proceed to

   NG

1. Replace the combination meter assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - 09/2017]

2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait 30 seconds.

3. Operate the steering pad switch assembly and check that the audio tab illuminates.
