DTC B1321: Lost Communication with EMV [09/2017 - 05/2019]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (NAVIGATION SYSTEM) 
    1. Check if navigation system DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2017 - 05/2018] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [05/2018 - 10/2019]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Navigation system DTCs are not output. A
      Navigation system DTCs are output. B

    Result: 

    GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2017 - ]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 9 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - RADIO RECEVER ASSEMBLY)

    *a Rear view of wire harness connector
    (to No. 9 CAN Junction Connector)
    1. Disconnect the No. 9 CAN junction connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I166-7 - I166-18 Cable disconnected from auxiliary negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 9 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)

    *a Rear view of wire harness connector
    (to No. 9 CAN Junction Connector)
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I166-8 - I166-19 Cable disconnected from auxiliary negative (-) battery terminal 200 Ω or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NO. 9 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    NG

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 9 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)

    (to Combination Meter Assembly Connector)
    1. Disconnect the combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Reconnect the I166 No. 9 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I11-10 (MSCH) - I11-9 (MSCL) Cable disconnected from auxiliary negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 9 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR)

    (to Radio Recever Assembly Connector)
    1. Disconnect the radio recever assembly connector.
    2. Reconnect the I166 No. 9 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I53-5(CNH1) - I53-6(CNL1) Cable disconnected from auxiliary negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2017 - 05/2019] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
